I am surprised that this film (and I use that word loosely) was ever released. The writing/editing is deploreable. I tend to feel that there was much more to this film that laid on the bottom of a cutting room floor I am being kind here

The only thing jungley about this flick’s females is Jayne Mansfield’s leopard-print capris! From all accounts and first impressions, the trio of threatened lovelies seem to be tigresses. Yet, when confronted with real menace, they look like weaklings who couldn’t shoo off a housecat! Any man unable to wend his way through this three-tree jungle would have to have some kind of problem–as, indeed, one of them does. Despite the jerky direction and leaky script, this on-the-cheap film noir has enough twists and turns to make for a good tale. Lawrence Tierney is even more watchable than usual in his multi-dimensional role as a hard-drinking police sergeant, and John Carradine imparts familiar mystery to his offbeat portrayal of a gossip columnist. Aficianados of fifties crime flicks, in particular, should be well satisfied.
